Nice pictures MsCritter. Thanks for sharing.

Did you get my email about the multiple item trade?

The Heart of Texas, TX(Zone 8b)

Thanks all glad you enjoed my lil garden pics..lol

vossner,
I have had this stromanthe a little over a year. I over wintered it in the house under a grow light with the plant set down in a plastic bag for humidity. It did very well.

The first one I ever bought I killed because I over watered it and fertilized it.. it hated my fertilizer and just kiled over and croaked...

This one has summered outside in a dappled shaded spot and seems very happy- at the moment.

Thanks
MsC

Your photographs are beautiful Lottie. What's the name of the variegated plant in the lower left hand corner? Do you have the time to share more photographs of your garden? :-)

Great pictures. I have that same stromanthe and I love it. Mine needs some care now. Time for repotting and the greenhouse affect. LOL!

I'm so glad you liked the pics...the compression seems a bit low on some but the program I used was Photo Suite and this one was made by using the programs Photo collage feature.
I've done a few in Power Point and I think they are better.

FYI: If you have a Power Point program you can save your slides as jpegs and I think get more definition in your pics, plus you can set different functions the like the compression and pick a background color etc . That's a feature my pic program doesn't offer...

Just incase someone doesn't have a pic program but you do have Power Point...

Delcie- the plant you ask about is the stromanthe...Trio Star...it is slightly temperment li darling..lol

I'll put a few more pics up as I get a chance...

Thanks for enjoying my pics, too.

MsC, I left my regular green stromanthes outdoors last winter and they did great. Of course, we are super spoiled with the mild winters... I was thinking of taking a chance and leaving the trio outdoors too, but now that I read you bring yours in, I might you take a cutting and bring indoors, just in case...I would hate to loose this plant. I took some cuttings from regular one and they seem to be coming along, but I guess I won't know for sure til next spring.

Well, enought about me, this is really about you and your beautiful garden. regards.

Hiya Vossner,
I kept mine indoors mostly because all the info I read said no sun & no cold...
They aren't real easy to find so I didn't want to loose it either,it's so pretty.

Now, I can tell ya it can take a little more sun than I originally thought but it does curl up and sulk at around 50 degrees...the one I have is in a pot and so it will come back indoors and decorate the Critter room. I bring in a lot of tropicals to decorate the critter room with that could probable be left out & covered. It helps me ward off the winter blues., but our weather here is pretty mild and it might make it??

I even put a piece down in one of my terrariums...lol
I really love this plant..:)

Let me know what you decide to do and if it survives...it's always great to compare notes since we are so close.

I'll take 3 from column B, 1 from column B2 and 1 from column C, please. ; - >

I'm gonna watch the weather closely but unless freeze warning, I will leave out. I will also take a cutting and bring indoors, just in case. Oh, I can't WAIT til next spring to see what all happens. This is just like watching the soaps (when they didn't used to be so outrageous, lol). regards. nery aka vossner

These new picture formats we are using do resemble a catalogue don't they...

Check with me in the spring & we will see what I've got ...ya never know what's hiding around here...

Thanks for the giggles!
