All I can think of is that she is just tired from all the growing she did this year, from seed to almost bloom. The buds have dropped, all of them, those pretty little pre-pubescent gems, without having seen the light of day, without a chance to pollinate.Poor things. But ther is next summer to look forward to. At present she, CC's Enchanted X ?, is doing the "Y" thing in spades. Her leaves are smaller and sagging a bit, but there are 3 or 4 on each side of the main one.It was sad to the buds drop before even one had chanced to open, but that's what she felt she had to do.Press on Miss Enchanted, I'll nurture you through the coming winter and we can start anew in the Spring.
tired brug
I believe it was Monika who said one time to bring your brugs inside when the outside temp is the same as the inside. I've tried to do that and have had better luck with them holding their leaves. If they don't hold though, it isn't long before the new ones start growing. I had one seedling that was probably two weeks from bloom and I was able to keep the bud on it by not shocking it too much. It got really dark before its time was up and for being in the house and short days, I was happy with it. Next year will tell the story though.
My brug seems to love the cooler weather. It's doing better now than it was doing during the summer. Is that unusual?
Mine do the same every year, just when time for frost, they are FULL of buds, grrr.................
