Help with a cutting...

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi all. I got 3 really nice sized cuttings from someone in my gardening club and rooted all three in water just fine. I potted them up and sent the one with the most developed root system to my friend. I kept the other two. Mine are growing like gangbusters and have all sorts of leaves. They look great! But she just emailed me and said hers is "half dead." She says it does still have leaves and has put out new leaves since I sent it to her, but it is "shriveled up" on top. I haven't watered mine since potting it up and neither has she- still damp to the touch. We both have them in windows and hers is probably getting more light than mine is, but not much. Any ideas as to what may be wrong with hers and/or how to correct it? I suggested that she water it a little, mist it and put it in a big plastic bag, cup and all. Then make it as airtight as possible and put it back in the window. I am thinking maybe some humidity would help it? She has it in a bay window in the kitchen. The only other thing I could think is that the weather got suddenly cold there this week and maybe it is getting a draft from that big window? I don't know man, I'm new at this too! :)

I am definatly no expert on this but my guess would be the sudden change being taken from one envirement to another, just give it time, I have heard even if they lose the leaves they will grow back OK

Thanks Kareoke- I thought that maybe part of it. But she got it over a week ago and it was fine. It just started doing this pretty recently. But I do hope it's just the stress of mailing it and getting it used to a new place. We shall see. :)
