I have a number of these perennials available, if anyone is interested. Please LMK.
They are very easy to grow in the proper climate (see PDB). Please LMK how many plants you would like.
I don't know how much they cost to ship, but we can work it out to your advantage, as they propagate easily, and I have more than I need in my small area.
I will not be able to ship immediately, as I have to get someone to dig them up for me. So it will be dependent upon their schedule. But they transplant easily most times of the year.
I can also ship them when it is best for your climate.
Mexican Petunias for SASE or Trade
Hi, Are you offering Ruellia? If so, what color are they? Thanks
Kim
I did a PDB search for "Mexican Petunia" first. My plants best match the 2nd pic under this search for plant type. They grow to about 3' tall. You can clip them early in the season to increase "limbs" as well as blooms. The flower color best matches PDB pic #10, a clear blue-purple color.
Since your question, I searched PDB for Ruellia and determined that Ruellia brittoniana best describes by pictures, given the plant that I have, in both PDB searches.
I hope I have answered your question.
The area where mine are planted has become totally shady, and I have nowhere else in my small yard to move them all, so that they can get partial sun to shade, which would increase the blooms.
Several years ago, when I first planted them, they received partial sun to shade, and bloomed quite nicely. They still bloom, but not as much as they should, being now in full shade all day.
I plan to keep some of them, that I can replant in a sunnier area. But just don't have the proper site for the number that I have.
They tend to bloom here in the fall, which is nice, since most everything else has gone dormant then.
