Hi, ya'll! My mom is a new member to DG and is still figuring out the nooks and crannies :) Would you please give her a big, warm welcome and any "tips" for making DG seem more like a friendly, gardening neighborhood for her? Thanks so much!

Meet my Buckeye mom, Cathy!
Welcome to Daves, Cathy. Sounds like you are finding your way around just fine. Bet you have fallen head over heals for this place by now. It can't be beat, in my book. Hope to see you around the forums real soon.

Welcome! You'll make lots of new freinds here...I hope you will count me as one of the first!! Jo
Dear Brugie and Roadrunner,
I am still trying to figure some of this out. My daughter has been very helpful. She just blessed us with a beautiful new baby girl and so we have been busy visiting them!! She is almost a week old already!! My gardening these days has been limited to cutting down hostas (I got some kind of poison ivy or something doing that) and raking leaves!! What fun!! We had really high winds on Saturday and so there were lots of leaves in our yard!! Thanks for welcoming me and happy gardening!!Cathy
Oh boy, a new baby in the family. Congrats to you both. Oh how I remember that wind coming through here. It was horrible, but it sure cleaned the dead branches out of the trees. Don't work to hard and take care of that infection. It can get pretty nasty.
Welcome, Buckeyemom. Enjoy that grandchild! and the garden too!

Hi, BuckeyeMom, it's so nice for you to have such a thoughtful daughter to introduce you here at DG. Now, you two, don't forget to check out the planning for the Ohio River Valley Spring Round Up 2005 and let us know what you think...
