Rosamond....... strutting her stuff!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

This is my first time to see Rosamond in bloom! I really like her. These were taken late last night. It's rained all afternoon and I'm hoping it will stop so I can get more pics. She did color up some today too......and she smells wonderful!

I like Rosamond too. She sure can grow into a huge bush or tree in a summer though. Nice pictures.

I love the pink next to the yellow in the background! Your brugs sure are pretty Brinda!

My Rosamond has no scent at all. I thought it didn't smell. Am I mistaken? I thought PB had a slight scent.

Such a pretty one.

Shirley, I think if this would have been in a bigger pot she might have taken over the yard. It certainly did grow big and fast. I'm so happy to see her bloom before frost.

Kell, she does have scent here. I didn't get a chance last night, but Saturday night we sniffed her. She smells a lot like L'A but maybe not as strong. I don't know about PB, I've not seen it bloom.

She's beautiful, Brinda! Definitely one on my wish list!

Thanks Gretchen! This just might be your lucky day! LOL She is a bigger bloom than L'Amour but the fragrance is about the same, maybe a little lighter.

Storms are brewing here and our weather is changing rapidly! Ugh.....DH spent about 4 hours yesterday moving brugs to an empty room at work. At least this year I have a place to keep them. Last year I had many in the cellar and they didn't make it. I just don't think their roots were established enough. Wow, I learned so much last winter.....LOL Now if I can only remember it all.

Beautiful, Brinda. I love the pink color. Can you tell me, what is the scent similar to, if any thing? I've never smelled a brug flower and I'm dying to know.

She looks great Brin!!

Thanks everyone! I really do love her. She has now been moved to my office (along with Rosabelle, Antique Lace and L'Amour) and when I walked in this morning the fragrance was overwhelming! I was in love all over again! I am really amazed how huge her blooms are.

plantfiend, I can tell you that Rosamond smells close to what L'Amour does, just not as strong. And I know that doesn't help you, but if I had to describe it I would say close to a baby powder scent with an added something else! LOL My DIL to-be says they have a plumeria scent to her.

Mmmm...that sounds great. I'm growing Daturas currently and the ones that do have scents aren't the kind you want to stick your nose in! lol
