I have 2 and we have allready had frost, moved them to my breezeway for a while, still afraid of the cold, of course they both
had buds on so I moved them into my daughters garage. Some buds fell but now they are starting to bloom.my daughter is
already talking abt glassing in a small porch for next winter. She just loves to go in the garage and smell the Brugs.
Brug scents
Lucky gal to have them to smell in the evening. Around here it is dried leaves and rain. Those two mixed together don't smell all that good. LOL!
Oh they will love her for that and reward her with great blooms, I bet! It is amazing how many people are so attracted to these plants.
Once you smell them, you are a lost cause! Forgot to say, "they are a beautful sight to see when they bloom". This is why we love them so.
oriole, I am thinking the same thing, right now my computer room is full of seedlings.
Hi oriole. Can you tell me, your Brugs that smell - is there anything they are similar to? I have never smelled a Brug flower and I am very curious. Do they all have different scents, or are they similar?

I'm not oriole, but I have smelled a ton of them and I can't tell you what they smell like. I guess they have a smell of their own and some smell different than others.
Thanks, Brugie. I guess I'll just have to wait and see for myself.
p;ant fiend Mine each have a smell of their own. I get my daughter, grand children any one i can nab and we smell 1 and then the other. They have different scents and we each have one we like better than the other. Sorry cannot describe the smell, you must grow your own.
Ok, oriole, I think you're right - I'm just gonna have to grow my own! Looking forward to it!
plant _fiend with your zone it should be a snap.
Oriole,
We have a little greenhouse that I moved the brugs into when I thought it would get cold. They all started blooming again, and the aroma comes right out of the window. Everyone that walks down the sidewalk remarks on how great they smell. I love see the faces when they catch the breeze.

Some smell like lemony baby powder, some smell like clean white cotton, others smell like the sweetest rose you'll ever stick your nose in to..
When I brought my little unknown pink in the house, when we had company for dinner...and it had just opened, my DIL said it smelled like Hawaii ! This one was very sweet smelling.
My husband and I notice when it is indoors the scent almost comes in waves! To tell you the truth, with just 2 flowers open and being in the house, the smell was almost too strong for me! Anyone else find that?!
I brought some inside for winter and 2 are blooming now. The strange thing is, the rooms they are in don't have much fragrance, but the perfume has settled 3 rooms away.
