I just planted over a 100 of these plants in my yard. Please tell me more about them. I got the seeds from an English Co. Has any one in the U.S. every planted them? I under stoud that it took 2 years to bloom. I have put them in part shade. Thank you,
Joan

I can't tell you anything about growing them in the US. They are a very common garden flower in England, with a delightful scent. In England they are usually a biennial which means that they do not flower in their first year from seed, and do not usually survive after the second year in which they flower profusely. Here in Australia, they seem to be almost perennial and continue to flower beyond the second year, although they become rather untidy and twiggy in later years.

Kennedyh, thank you so much for your answer. One more do they reseed or do I need to plant them each year? Joan

Ours have self-seeded quite regularly. They have maintained themselves in the same place for about 15 years now, with no attention from me,
