Got a question for you about that mess i call Fancy, lol.
First off, shes doing great, spoiled rotten, but doing fantastic. Jay is having stonework done all around the barn and the noises are working wonders on her spookiness. Last night i was feeding her and DH turned on the saw. She got "that look" took a step back, kinda snorted and then i called her name, she looked at me, looked like she wanted to bolt, but then let me grab her halter and talk her through it. It was kinda cool.
This morning we went out to move them from one pasture to the other. I noticed that when she runs her tail is high in the air, whereas Tina and Stakata have their tails flowing behing them. Not fancy, she looks like a white tailed deer, lol.
She runs like that ALL the time. Is that normal? I tried doing a google search and couldnt find anything about horses that run with their tails waving like flags.
Some of the things i've noticed in her. When i first get out to the barn, whereever she is, i'll stop far enough and call her. On first sight, she snickers (?) at me, drops her head and starts this slow, painful walk towards me, only stopping when she reaches me. How cool is that????
Bath time is now uneventful, including the face. She just stands there with this look like, "hey, i like being dirty"
Shes come a long way, actually we both have. She never makes any moves now to turn her butt towards me and i've gotten over my fear of walking behind her. Actually was leaning in to her butt the other day, scratching her and eventually got to where i had both arms crossed over her rump. Probably not smart, but it seemed like the thing to do at that time. She just stood there ; )
Just wanted to get you opinion on the flag-tail and to give you an update on her. Shes now 19 mts old and is 14.2 tall. We changed her feed to 14% but we're thinking its a little hot for her. Shes been a little loose the past few days.
