Yup...tried this question on the proper forum...no help. Can't be rocket science...can anyone help me. My sister is in Bend, Or. and asked me how I overwintered mine when I lived in Seattle. Hello? I lived in Seattle? Can't remember.
So...all of you overwintering mavens out there...what's the best thing to do?
Thanks, Carol
Help, please: overwintering geraniums
This method is if you live in a zone that has cold winters.
I have heard that you take them out of the soil cut them back, wrap them in newpaper and then in a sack and store in a cool dark place..
Never tried it myself..

Here is a web site that may answer your question better than I did

Lots of geraniums..
All those geraniums how beautiful. I had one last year (2003) that I had received for Mothers day. I brought it in the house and put it in front of a north window, watered and babied it all winter. Then this summer I set it out and it has been beautiful all summer. Blooming like crazy. I don't know if this is the correct method or not, or maybe I just got lucky. I do beleive I am going to check out the web site that lazygirl1 posted. Because I have another one I would like to save as well.
Thanks to you both...I have sent my sister the information... you are great!
Carol
