Very nice pic, such an attractive airy grass, are the fronds sharp feeling or smooth? Annie

Very nice location for your Silver grass. I have several clumps of various ornamental grasses, but they still outgrow their space in a few years and are so hard to divide. But really pretty. Donna

i, too, have gracillimus, and i love it . . . i had to do some excavation last year in my backyard, and dug up the two grasses i have, and put them in buckets in the back of my yard . . . freezing temps (hard) came before i could replant them, and i thought i lost them . . ..planted what appeared to be dead grasses last december, and they came back fine this year . . . the best part is the winter, when they look so beautiful in snow . . . .

Hey Annie the fronds aren't sharp but there not as soft as the plumes. Beware when you cut back the plant my wife got a rash on her arms, so I would reccomend long sleves and gloves. We just divided this year and was able to share a few plants with neighbors. Wasn't as hard to divide as I thought, just used a flat blade pitch fork. Nice to leave up over the winter for some structure, then make a nice dried arrangement in spring.
