Egg Salad Recipe - Someone Help Me Out

I have tried repeatedly to make egg salad. It always tastes "yuck", but if I eat it "out" it's always good. I'm doing something wrong. I love Egg Salad on a toasted Bagel!!

Chopped eggs, mayo, pickle relish, salt & pepper ..... right?
