Woo Hoo...this was worth the wait!!!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Yesterday she opened up yellow and later to my initial disappointment, turned pure white! Well this morning, I was definitely, pleasantly, quite surprised!

Another view -- the tree is at least nine feet tall, so its difficult to get close to the bloom!

Wonderful, different color each day. It is a pretty one.

Very pretty, Gretchen. All your hard work is paying off.

Which cross was this. I just had another one open up white. I don't think there is time for another flush this season. I keep wondering if I should take cuttings and give them another opportunity next year, or if when they are white on the first flush, they will always be white on the next flush.

How pretty! Those tendrils are sure nice!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I was thinking EP Brugie. Very pretty!!

Patrica, I have heard they can change the next year to a new color. But I wonder if they ever get dark. If you have the room, why not try it? Did you love the shape?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Probably does have EP in it. I was thinking Rosamond because of the color. LOL! I've said before...ID is something I'm not good at. This will probably prove it.

Thank you all!!! I've waited a long time to see blooms from this cross -- yes Kell, her daddy was EP, but Brugie (you sure were close!) her mama was PB. One of her sisters is going to be blooming later in the week. Another of this cross got damaged in an August storm, and I started some babies with the remnants. It keeps trying to grow back, but the deer won't leave it alone. For now, I'm just happy to have something new and pink! Thank you all again for your kind comments!!!

Another beauty Gretchen!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I am not good either Brugie, I am hoping we can convince Monika to give us lessons!!

That combo could give you real dark ones Gretchen. YUM YUM

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It has a beautiful shape Gretchen. It may even turn into a darker Pink. You will know more in next summer.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thank you -- it wouldn't hurt my feelings if she gets darker, but I'm not complaining about her present color :) Y'all have a great evening!!!
