Dragonfly metamorphosis photo

Clayton, NC(Zone 8a)

If you go down to the pond tonight... You might be surprised to see a lot more going on than in daylight... Under cover of darkness, a vulnerable dragonfly makes a break for its brief career as a dashing, flying mosquito eating ace...

So they do that at night? I kept watching all summer, but I could only find the empty shells, never got to see the hatching. Next year I'll watch at night.

OH! How did I miss this photo! This is wonderful! Good job!

I have a particular fondness for Odonata. Whatdoyagot! Do you have any horizontals so I can get some nice new desktop wallpaper for my computer!

Why don't you add another... and then another... and then another!

Hi, when I went to add the photo to my desktop, a pop up asked me if I wanted to add an active desktop item? What does this mean.

I really like it.
