A New Horsie Story

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Sunday my DH was in the kitchen, and he was looking out the window at something...when I asked him what he was looking at, he told me that there was a cat, way across the field. (we have a hay field across the street) Well, I looked, and you could barely see, that it was a cat. So I said, Hmm, I wonder who it is? Wait, let me call it, if it is Horsie, he will ignore us, and we'll know that it is him...So I went outside, and called Horsie...!!! The cat stopped and turned around, and I could see his white ruff, so I knew it was him....and then he surprised me...he came running, full tilt, all the way home, meowing loudly at me, when he got here. So I let him inside and searched for something 'good' to feed him. He has to be the least interested in food, of any cat I have ever known, so finding something he considers a treat, is a tough job....I found a can of Fancy Feast, and I opened it, and gave it to him, and he surprised me again...he ate it all.( Usually he just licks the gravy and leaves the food).I wish I could have gotten some pictures of his dash across the field...it was a pretty sight! His Mother would come running like that...he is becoming more, like her, every day.
What a cat, I love that little toot.
