I am looking for Thumberia cuttings, mainly anything except the pure Orange one, and the black eyed susan.

Will trade Passiflora Cuttings for Thumbergia cuttings
I have two different ones I can cut. Is this Mark? Wow. When did you come over to DG?
This is Hugo. I can send you Thunbergia sky vine and the Thunbergia battescombei. Maybe we can trade Thunbergia cuttings for passion flower cuttings. I have the Thunbergia coccinea too but it's awfully slow at growing and won't be able to cut it back yet. I hope to hear back from you.
Hugo

Hugo, sorry if I didn't get back to you, I get overwhelmed sometimes. Contact me at zostropz@aol.com if you'd like to talk about other stuff. I would be interested in trading for those you stated, and even the Coccinea when it is ready. I just officially joined (paid) a few day's ago. Cool site.
Mark
I have a pink clock vine that I could take cuttings from if you are interested.
Patricia
Patricia, don't know much about what I'm asking for. Is clockvine a Thunbergia? If not, what does it look like?
Mark
Have you seen a Thunbergia Erecta-King's Mantle? I have them... The bush type. They are gorgeous.
Hey Hugo,
Did the cuttings I sent root? Were they easy to root? I am anxious to know.
Sandy
They roooted like a charm. Thanks so much for sending those Sandy.
Sandy, sounds like I would be very intersted, expecially since I only have a couple of types here. Let me know.
Mark
Hi Mark-
Looks like you are covered on many types, but I still have some other thunbergia that have not been mentioned.
Can you tell me what passies you have to offer?
Thanks-T
T- I know this is my own thread here, but I'd prefer to trade rooted cuttings, is that possible with you? At the moment, I have P. Quazar and P. Apetala already rooted up. LMK
Mark
I never knew there were any other colors other than yellow & orange, until coming to DG. I just spotted the pink one in Territorial Seed Co. WoW! So I'm looking at adding to my additction list. Any where I can fine the Blue?
Happy New Year!
zostropz-
I'd like to trade for the Quazar. I read that it is one of the few that is not invasive, while still being hardy. I love that! I can't stand passies that spread all over the place(like most do)
Plus, I really like white at night and am a big proponent of moon-gardens with night blooming, and white flowers.
...nothing like a warm summer evening with fragrance and glowing white flowers...
...sorry! You lost me there for a moment! lol...
back to the trade. I've only just stuck my white thunbergia, so it is not "rooted and ready". The only ones I have ready right this minute are the blue(I usually do, anyway-have to check), and the mysorensis(red/gold)-rare.
I see that you are in an area of California that has a vine I want badly. I'd be willing to send you two trades, if you could help me get a vine from Anderson's? I'd pay for the vine, if you could pick it up and send with the trade??)
If not, I'll trade one for one, but really hoping to find someone in that general area. I even posted for this, but no one has helped me so far.
I am looking for distictis laxiflora and distictis rivers. The rivers is pretty easy to find around there, but the laxiflora isn't. I've called around and found a nursery in La Costa that has them, and another in Encinitas that is getting them next week...
Any chance you are close to, or visit either nursery??
Any chance a nursery that you like to go to, or closer to you, has it??? I know that South Coast Growers lists having it (thorugh growit.com), and I think they are even IN San Diego...

Taylor, sounds like you use to live here or something. Anyhow, just let me know which nursery has what, and when I send them, I'll do the Quazar at the same time. I'll talk to you soon.
Mark
No, I just visited last month, and drove from La Quinta to San Marcos to visit the Buena creek gardens. I wanted to purchase the 'Donna Bringham' passiflora, and same situation...they don't ship, so drove several hours to pick one up...
Encinitas was/is right by Buena Creek Gardens, but the nurseries didn't have any at that time, and said that it was hard to come by...
I just kept calling back. They are getting some in, but I think that is farther away from you, than you'd probably want to drive. If I remember correctly, it is about an hour from you?
Anyway, did a google search, and South coast growers lists in on their web site. Their address is in San Diego. I am pretty sure they are wholesale only, but can ask them what reatailers may have ordered it recently...
I checked and do have the blue and mysorensis ready. I could even include a few cuttings of the white if you'd like to try to root them.
I sure do appreciate you being willing to help me find the vine, and sure hope it can work out. I'll call S. coast growers tomorrow and see if I can find a retailer closer to you. The only ones I have located so far are in La Costa, and Encinitas...
What do you think?
Thanks!-Taylor
zostopz-sending you mail.

Reading back over your message, did you find your Donna Brigham? I didn't quite understand if you did or not. Most of the plants I sell are small, but I have a couple in 4 inch pots for sale, and maybe, just maybe, there is still a one gallon out in the big greenhouse, I'd have to check, but that one would be more than getting it from a regular nursery because it was a re-sale item, where as the small ones, I started myself. The Quazar I was offering was for trade, I have plenty of those. I have a varigated type called P. Apetala that I can offer you too as part of this trade. Just let me know.
thanks,
Mark
I appologize for the last message on here, I thought I was in e-mail.
sorry,
Mark
mark - did you get any yellow thunbergia? i can try rooting mine if you still need
Yellow? wow, now that is one I'd like to get. Sure, I'd be interested. I have the pure white passion flower called Quazar if your interested?
Mark
