Is this from too much sun

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

This is my red tip jade, and having a bad day, in the greenhouse, and there isn't any shade cloth on it, and sun gets to plants that don't need it, just wondering if that's all that's wrong with this. I put it down below so it will be more in the shade, and I have got to get some kind of shade cloth on the greenhouse. looking into that now.

looks like fungal rot- too little light and too much moisture would be my first guess... maybe a bit too cool, too? I have only seen jade do that here in California under those conditions (cold, wet and dark).

My jades go outside in the spring and stay outside all summer until about the end of September here in Massachusetts. They have to be gradually introduced back into the full sun for a couple of weeks because they will scorch if put out directly from the house to the full sun. They start out in the shade of a maple and work their way out to the edge and then the full sun. Once they have done that, they do fine. This summer, due to the consistent full waterings they got every week from the various hurricanes I didn't water them myself at all. I agree with Palmbob that looks like a fungus. too much water, not enough ventilation. If they are accustomed to the light in your greenhouse, the full sun shouldn't be a problem. cut back to a thorough watering every 10 days. you may need a fungicide.
