Out of the blue, it got some pink! Take 2

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This yellow is always yellow. Well, sometimes it is orange, but mostly yellow. One day last week just before a storm, I noticed some of the flowers had pink splotches on them. It never had them before. So odd. This is a huge bush about 9 ft by 9 ft and is about 4 years old.

Too bad it isn't its normal coloration for it was very pretty! I wonder what would cause it to happen! And now I wonder if it has pink in its genes. I think I sent out some seeds from this X L'Amour last year, I wonder what they looked like.

Think it's a keeper. It might surprise you. After 4 yrs. tho', you'd think it would have found it's true color. Nice long tendrils.

Gorgeous! And a really nice photo!

Kell, that poor Brug is afraid if it don't get some pink, you'll get rid of it. LOL
Very pretty.

LOL Ada, so true! But it is not at my house. Though I do have control over whether it lives or dies. LOL. I was just down there and I checked a few blooms, they are now orange with no pink in sight. So odd!

Didn't you say you just got a lot of rain. Maybe the cooler temps have something to do with it
