Blarney Stone cake recipe?

Wilton, CA(Zone 9b)

Yesterday in a checkout line I was talking to a lady who was telling me about a great cake she use to make called Blarney Stone. It was a pound cake, cut into pieces and then a rum sauce poured over it, and served on toothpicks.
Anyone have the recipe. The reason I was started the conversation w/her was because she was 80 something, and I wanted to know if she knew what is in a hot toddy. She couldn't remember, but did tell me about the great parties she had serving them and Tom and Jerry's and this cake. Always such a pleasure talking w/strangers.
