Glad to see someone interested in the Monarch's. I raised quite a few last year and quickly became infatuated with them. This year I had plenty of milkweed but no eggs on it. I did get to raise 9 eggs that I found at my parents. They are still feeding in my beds. I have seen some starting to fly past me now tho. I think it was about this time last year that they came by on their way to Mexico.

They do thrill me! These were actually out on a "field trip" tho! I had them inside feeding on leaves, then decided they had to go out on a real plant and eat standing up. I put them on this plant and they ate it to the ground in less than 12 hrs. I moved them to another plant and they did the same to it. Apparently I was right, that they eat better in their natural position. This is a pic of my cage. I turned it upside down with the plant inside.
