Summer Seersucker Seedling, now say that 3 times fast!

This big fat bloom starts out as a yellow bud with banded crinkles going from the skirt right up to the top of the corolla tube with 3 inch tendrils to make me oh so happy!

opened to a big sunny yellow first day bloom that made me smile seeing it!

Then slowly the yellow color drained away to my incredible dismay!




Oh wait........... then I saw a tendril of slim hope

It really is Donna! I can't wait till next summer when it has a bunch of blooms in all stages of colors at one time. The skirt is 6 inches across. A very big flower.

Here is an update. The blooms last a long time though it is cool here. They sure are bumpy, big blooms!
