I wish I knew the cross of this one but they kids lost it last fall and I have several of these seedlings. It's a Jean Pasko look alike but much bigger. This is a comparison of the two.
A Susie seedling
That flower in the photos of you holding it looks huge.
It's not me holding the blooms. It was DH and he told me I'd better not get him in the picture.LOL I love the size of it.
Sheesh...Ada...I don't think I've ever seen one so big!!! Wow !
The color is gorgeous and the size makes it perfect
Oh how cool Ada
Maybe Susie will know which seeds she sent you! This one is sure a keeper. I love them big and bold.
Thanks, Renee, Tazzy, Donna and Kell.
Kell, I bought so many from Susie. I have a solid white also that I don't know the father. i know it was an Isabelle cross and it's the shape and size of an Isabelle bloom. This teenager is always coming and wanting to do to make a little money and he lost so many of my tags. I threatened him this year. LOL I told him if he lost a tag, he lost his pay but I've already found one tag left on the lawn tractor.
you should do what I am doing now, I attach them with those heavy plastic
thingamagigs. I will try to remember to take a picture tomorrow of them. So far they are working just great. Tags in the dirt just did not work for me at all.
They are beautiful Ada! I love the color and the size of them.
Ada, what a lovely bloom and so big. I use the 7" vinyl slip on tags with a paint pen and they never come off and the writing does not fade out in a year. I will have to say that eventually after a couple years the vinyl will get brittle if the brug is in the sun.
My word! I should say its bigger!! Congratulations Ada and Susie! Love the color!
Geez spelling... lol not "bugger" its "bigger" :o)

Thanks, Monika, Frannie and Shelly.
Yes, Kell. I need to see those thingamagigs. LOL
Frannie, I guess I'm going to have to start doing that. On my bigger plants, I started put three tags in each pot, one turned out and two turned in so the sun won't shine on them. If I had close to a flat of little seedlings, I only made one tag for the whole flat but that definately isn't working with this teenager. LOL Of course, as he get older, he doesn't call me as often to see if I'll pay him to do anything. Guess he doesn't need the money now. LOL
Wow! Ada, I love it! That is one gorgeous bloom!!! Big congrats to you and Susie!!!!!!
Thanks, Gretchen.
Ada i wonder if that would be JP x Jessie Noel? i have several due to open sometime next week. when the bloom opens, i surely will post the bloom for u. it is a seedling i grew for Cala last year. it is just now that it is beginning to bud. i will take photo later of the bud that i hope to open next week.
here is the one i am growing in my yard. i hope it blooms much sooner, it is about time it should bloom LOL!
edited to add: Ada, maybe if u compare the buds and leaves, u may find some similarity? if not, maybe u got something else. though the photo might help some.
Jean Pasko x Jessie Noel

MaVie, I'll have to wait and see the picture of your bloom. I bought so many seeds from Susie and lost the list when my computer crashed. It's really a big bloom and I love it.
Ada, another trick I learned from someone here on Dave's, is to write the cross on the top of a stake. Then write it also on the bottom of the stake. Then stick it in the dirt so the bottom writing is buried under ground and the top where you can see it. That part that is underground will not fade because it is out of the sun! I use cut up blinds now and I love them. I have plenty of room.
I buy this plastic thingamagigs at HD. They come in lots of sizes. Get long enough ones for the trunk will get too fat for shorter ones. I just went to the 11 inch ones for next year.
I use a paperhole punch (thanks Brugie) to make a hole in my blind. Then I put the thingamagigs thru it and wrap it around the trunk like a necklace and lock it on. You can't undo them once locked. I do this when I plant up the seedlings to a gallon size. Up till then I stick the name tag in the dirt of the brug for they are too small still for their necklace.
I am now using them again to write brief descriptions of seedlings. I also write the cross, the number it has been assigned to corollate to its picture on my computer, the location of the brug and whether I am going to keep it or not. This tag I put higher up on the trunk where it is easily read without bending down.
I use a certain color if I am keeping the brug and another color if I am going to toss it. So I can tell at a glance.
So far so good!
Ada, when the buds open, i will surely post bloom.
Kell, i buy the super long vinyl blinds. i cut them with paper cutter to size. u can stack 3 vinyl and it cut easily. i use DecoColor Opaque Paint Marker [weatherproof], i like the extra fine tip--> never fade in the sun.
If you label them and spray the writing with regular hairspray it won't fade either.
Thanks, Kell. The missing tags were off little seedlings from last year. It's a good idea to put them on as a necklace. I'll have to get busy doing that.
Thanks MaVie Rose ans CaptMicha.
kell YOU THROW SOME AWAY....owwwwwch
Kell -- you amaze me! You and Brugie have so much info in 'yo little heads, and are so gracious in sharing it.
With Monika's advice on cuttings in jars and my new greenhouse arriving FINALLY on Monday, I am very eager to "move forward" - (the catch phrase of the 2000's)
Kareoke, oh does that sound too harsh? LOL. When you have several hundred and can not move you can't wait to thin them!!
Actually, the ones I do not want I am leaving outside in different locations with no protection just to see how the do. And the ones at the rented plots I have offered to the other gardeners there.
Pollygardening, most of my shortcut info I got from right here! I am constantly amazed at how much smarter people are than I am with their solutions to different problems! I quickly and gladly steal all their ideas and use them myself!
Like hairspray on tags, I never would have thought to try that. I sure will now! Thanks CaptMicha! And the DecoColor Opaque Paint Marker (weatherproof)are sure worth a try.
The best tip I have ever gotten was to use the blinds. They are so easy, cheap, practical and much better than what I was using. I was buying tags at HD for about $4 for 25 of the small white plastic stakes. In less than a year they tend to break in half, leaving me with the end of words trying to figure out what the entire name was.
Then I read on here about plastic blinds. I get a big blind for under $5 at HD and it makes hundreds of them and can cut them to what ever size I need at the time. So far they have not become brittle and I bet they don't for they are made to be in the sun on windows. And it is so easy to write on them with pencil.
