Got any ideas??

TYLER, TX(Zone 8a)

All of my never blooms....are going to pop at the same time!! I wonder what kind they are and what color they will be? This is as exciting as a new baby...less the diapers...

I would have no idea what color the blooms would be without knowing what they are. They all look so similar to me, I need to have a name. And if they are crosses - your guess is as good as anyone else that hasn't seen those particular crosses yet. Good luck with your blooms! So lucky you are down in a warmer climate! I have to pull mine indoors probably before the weekend (maybe tomorrow night).

isn't it exciting, to have blooms on a plant for the first time, always a thrill for me.

Well...let's make it a contest...

My vote is:
1) the first picture will be yellow-orange (Dr. Seuss???)
2) the second will be pink (Frosty???)
3) the third will be pink (Pink Beauty???)

These are all wild guesses, and since they aren't named, it will be next to impossible to know for sure what you really have, but I know how exciting it is to have them finally blooming!!! Please let us know and post pix when they bloom. Gretchen

Mifflintown, PA(Zone 6a)

BoFo,keep the pictures coming as they open.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

What idiot would send them to you without names attached? But I will say they are looking sooooooooooo good!!! And instead of diapers they have mites! LOL Your pics are just great.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

It is exciting to see the first bloom, looks like youre taking excellent care of them.
Jen

I must have overlooked something because i didnt see where anybody sent them to BoFo, and even if they did, why does that make them an idiot? Maybe the tags got lost? Maybe they were bought as pink? Get a grip, people send cuttings all the time UNnamed and MISnamed. Not everyone is in to the hybridizing and could give a rats butt about the names.
Its ironic that the deeper we get in to the world of brugs, people have a tendancy to forget where they started and how special it was when they received their first ones.
Maybe one of these days I'll grow up and be one of the elite brug hybridizers and can look down my nose.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

If I had grown some of the ones Kell has, I'd probably be a little picky about them as well. Now I'm just thrilled to have bloom in any color. LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Trust me Ms Jen, that person must have been a total idiot! Complete. No doubt in my mind!

So BoFo, tell us all that the person who sent you these cuttings without their names on them was a total IDIOT!!

Hey, I can't make believe just to be nice.

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 6b)

WOA!

Idiot? That is super harsh. Just my honest opinion Kell.

Aren't we spposed to be friends here?

Hey, Kell ...don't be so hard on yourself just because your forgot a couple of tags...You are not an idiot ....you are my BEST friend!

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8b)

ROTFLOL! They came from you Kell? Way to go! LOL

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Hey, it was so nice of Ms Jen and PPhil1 to defend me!! But I am a big girl now and can defend myself. But thanks anyway! LOL

And thanks Ms Jen, just 1 year of pollinating and you call me an elite brug hybridizer. I feel so important now. LOL

Hey BoFo, kiss kiss.

And I am an idiot! When I sent them to BoFo, I emailed and said I would send her the names. Then of course I didn't. Then I promised that when they bloomed I would tell her the names. I guaranteed her I could tell just by looking. Then one bloomed and I told BoFo I had no clue which brug it was and denied I had ever sent it to her.

I think idiot is a kind description!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

LOL Good thing we found out who the idiot was.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

So, have they bloomed yet? We wanna see pictures :)

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Gosh, I was leaving this one alone. Now that I see who the "Idiot" is and that she was making fun of herself, I feel so much better.

Edited to correct another typing error.

Brugie...I am feeling much better too!!!
It is good to see, even the brug genuises among us can make mistakes!!!
Sure makes me feel alittle better about finding a brug with no label & leaving cuttings labeled with masking tape and pen too long to read the labels!
You did great kell in your replies !!!

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

WTG Kell, no labels, Ha! Hoping we can all help identify them when they bloom.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

We all are going to help to identify the seedlings lol!

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

ROFL Kell !!!!!

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

ROFL here tooo Kell! I was like Brugie, leaving this one alone. Poor Kell, I know how you work.....flitting here and yonder, taking care of plants and pollinating your little heart out. I have faith in you Kell....I bet you figure out some of the names!

TYLER, TX(Zone 8a)

These are not kell's brugs, but pink no-names that I bought at a local nursery. They only bloomed white and the smell is intoxicating.

Nice brugs. The pink one at first glance looks like Butterfly, but I'm not sure. Sure is pretty, no matter what it is. I like the white versicolor also. Nice and healthy, all of them.

Gulfport, MS(Zone 8a)

Sorry if i jumped to conclusions, but ya gotta admit, it was a tad misleading.

Jen
i think i just heard the microwave ding, my crow must be ready to eat.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I hate to admit it BoFo but your white is stunning. Brugie is probably correct on the pink one. I know I would have sent you my pinks!

I wonder if your last one is Versi peach. I have it but I am not sure why. As you know a versi shape is not my fav!

They look wonderful BoFo!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Yes they do! I sure lost the guess, didn't I?

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

What beauties you are growing!

TYLER, TX(Zone 8a)

If the first pink brug was a butterfly...what is the second pink?

kell, you scared the H*** outta me. We've had some fights here and Dave has even mentioned giving up on the brug forum, so I was worried. But it was your practical joke, you little stinker!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

BoFo, it could be Pink Beauty or Rosamond. I'm guessing Rosamond. Pretty brugs...all of them.

TYLER, TX(Zone 8a)

The leaves on this brug are different than all the others. They are serrated on the edges.

I hope we did not scare you off BoFo. Most here are not so quick to jump down ones throat! I bought you your subscription well over a year ago and you finally got the urge to post! So now you must post often esp since you are in pink heaven!! I will be sending you some hot cuttings now that you are hooked and have proven yourself by not killing them! LOL LOL LOL Oh where is the Arborea I sent? Did you kill that one?? CONFESS! You actually did great growing these from cuttings.

The first is BF, the second is Rosamond. The 3rd is probably a CG with juvenile leaves. It could be Old Yellow but I do not think that has serrated leaves. I must check.

Your house looks so great.
