Still time to bloom?

Fountain, FL(Zone 8a)

I was out checking the brugs...6 in the ground and 6 in 5gal. buckets. 10 for sure have small buds on them. Living here in the northern Florida panhandle will there still be enough time for them to bloom? I sure hope so as most have not bloomed yet and I have no clue as to what color they are.

It usually takes about a month from when the buds first appear before you will see blooms. Cooler weather may slow them down some. So, if your average first frost date is over a month away, you should see blooms. Hope so.

Thanks Brugie...I don't *think* we'll see frost for at least a month, but this year has been so strange who knows. With my luck they'll all be just about there and we'll get hit with another dreaded H word.

Ginger, I'm in 8a and we usually get our first frost about the 2nd week in Nov, but the first hard frost is generally later. We can cover plants, if the temp doesn't stay too long at freezing or below. Good luck!!! I surely hope the H word won't be in your weather forecasts, too!
