Gosh Shelly, show us a pic when it is open. The color looks so dark in your pic. I've missed you! Hope you're feeling better!!!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Can't wait to see a picture of it open.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thank you Brinda!
Im hoping it will hang on...I want to see it open too! :o) The color is true on my monitor. The closest I could come with the color chart was 255,77,117.
Im thinking I need to ask DH to put one of the grow lights over this one. BUT.. lol there isnt much room for it to grow in there.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Sure looks like it has some great possibilities. Can't wait to see it open and in full color.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

So exciting!!!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

It is so exciting ... looking pretty good from here. Can't wait to see it open.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Looks like a good one Shelly. Please let us see an open bloom, soon, I hope!

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

It is very pretty Shelley. I have looked up the number. This is beautiful color.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thank you guys!!!
I keep going in and laughing.. there is so much that a brug HAS to be now... its lacking the long tendrils, but I keep telling it, be bug resistant, hold up well in heat.. lol maybe its a cold weather brug? I keep telling it, next summer the color HAS to go all the way up. Poor thing probably doesnt have a chance.
How exciting is the color chart thing Monika? Now when someone says a color, we can look it right up.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

Is it open yet?

Huh? Huh? Huh?....

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

LOL Sue.....I was just thinking the same thing!!!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

I just went to look.. its open a bit more, but not much. Its so cool in that room, I wonder if it will open up fully or not.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

I keep coming back to see a picture of it open also -- Shelly, I looked up the color on my chart (they really are handy!), and it is a beautiful color. You're a great brug mommy!!!

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

lol thanks Gretchen.. but I just grew them.. honestly, my Susie babies have been SO neglected. I swear they are almost drought tolerant, they missed more than a few waterings, and never wilted or anything.

Mukwonago, WI(Zone 5a)

Oh...Shelly....I LOVE IT. Great picture too. You done good, girl (smiles).

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thanks BB!
Here is the newest.. I tried to get a pic of the color starting up the tube, but it didnt work so well LOL

I think it is going to be a pretty one Shelly.

It looks promising, Shelly.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Im excited about her!
Here she is this AM.. and the smell is outstanding! Very spicy.
Her tendril color is still 255,77,177. Her corolla opening is lighter at 255,122,152. The color reminds me alot of my BF, but she got much darker for me as she aged.

She is about 10 inches long, the corolla opening is 4 inches, and the tendrils measure a whopping 1 inch lol.

Shelly, thanks for these pictures. She sure opened nicely and I do like the color. Remember, she can get even better with future flushes and summer temps will make changes too. You did good Shelly. Especially for living in such a dry climate.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Congrats Shelly. She is very beautiful.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Very pretty, Shelly.

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

Very nice Shelly. Lots of people would love to have one like it. Worth keeping.

Homestead, FL(Zone 10b)

Congratulations Shelly, she's beautiful. :-)

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thank you everyone! The climate does put a bit of a damper on things. We hit 45% humidity, and its toooo much for me (but not enough for the plants). I was affraid I would be growing cactus this year, as we were in a drought last year. Im glad I have such color and tropicals around here. I would have laughed had someone come up to me on the street and said I could grow such things. I have really enjoyed growing out all these seeds... I just hate when I kill them lol.

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The color chart is a great thing Shelley. All we have to do is to search and look at the number and we know, what color it has.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

I just finally got back here -- its just beautiful, Shelly! Great work!!!

Columbia, SC(Zone 8a)

That's a beauty.

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Beautiful Shelly ... you did good! Congratulations to you & Susie. Can't wait to see what it does this coming spring!! Great color.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

She is really beautiful Shelly. Congrats to both you and Susie.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Thanks! Im excited for next year also. I can see the color wants to go up farther, but Im affraid it wont make it this year. The one little bloom smells up the room, and the living room. Its wonderful.

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

It's beautiful!
