i think this soup is better than any i've had in any resturant. i have been making this for a long, long time
6 medium onions
4 tbls butter
5 cups beef broth, homemade is best but you can use canned or bouillions
1 tsp worcesteshire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp paprika
6 slices french bread, toasted
1/2 cup parmesian cheese
in a pot large enough to hold everything over med. high heat add butter and onions and cook until onions are the color of straw. reduce heat to a simmer. add the rest of ingreidents, except the bread and cheese and cook until onions are soft.
pour soup into oven proof bowls and top with bread and sprinkle with cheese. bake until cheese melts, about 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
