with the holidays coming up wanted to pass on a nice desert that we have been making four years
filling
1 cup raisins soaked in hot water until soft
2 tbls softened butter
a little less than 1 cup brown sugar
pinch of salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbls water
chopped walnuts
for the crust
1 box of flako
4 tbls cold water
assemble - preheat oven to 425 deg.
add brown sugar to softened butter and cream it. now add the pinch of salt and 2 eggs and beat using an electric mixer until well mixed. next add the 2 tbls water, 1 tsp vanilla, and the raisins and mix well.
the crust
mix 4 tbls cold water with the box of flako and mix well. roll out dough and cut into 12 circles and put them in a greased muffin tray. add the mixture into the shells and sprinkle with chopped walnuts. bake at 425 degrees until golden brown, about 30 minutes
