An Indian summer!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Cream sickle was a favorite last year but this year she has been covered in mites almost the entire summer. But she still can put on a great show!

Oh my, I sure would love to see your garden in person someday! Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous!!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Hope she peaches up for you, but if not, she is awesome just like she is in the picture. I'm so jealous. I don't have any flowers now. So sad.

Westbrook, ME(Zone 5a)

What a beautiful picture, Kell!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Absolutely beautiful Kell ... look at all that color surrounding it!!

Pickens, SC(Zone 7a)

I've never seen a double brug in person..or "in brug" :)
very pretty

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

I was real dissappointed in my first blooms. She was loaded with them too. They turn brown very quickly and never turned orange. Maybe it is just to hot here for them.

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Kell, I went through the same thing with my Creamsickle this year. Usually it is one of the most rewarding for me. It continued to bloom anyway. In fact the limbs are so weighted down with blooms right now that I may go ahead and cut her back.

Very pretty, Kell. Mine is hidden behind some other Brugs and I can hardly get to it. I'll sure try to plant mine wider apart next year.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Very pretty picture, Kell! My Creamsickle is still putting on a show too.

I havent seen any color in mine, but it does bloom nonstop. Its probably one of the prettiest doubles that i have as far as form goes. Maybe ill see color when it starts getting cooler.
Its getting ready to put out another flush of about 10/15 blooms.

Jen mine did to before I cut her up for Ivan. I never got any color and they turned brown very quickly.

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Mine gets color as it ages and when the weather is cooler.

Clare, you have tons of new buds sticking up too!

Patricia, you had miites all over it also? It keeps on flowering but the tree looks odd with so few leaves. LOL. I have to be better spraying it. I will say Sexy Lady is just across from Cream sickle and has not had mites once all summer.

Gosh Donna, it must have killed you to cut up all your brugs. I would have just brought them inside the house.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

Kell I didn't expect to have a house left. I am less than a 1/2 mile from the beach

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

kell, mites or no mites, it sure is pretty/ definatly a keeper if it can still perform under infestation...
great going!!!

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

Kell, by June I had mites on almost all of my brugs. I sprayed several times and got them under control. The one that I could never seem keep them off of was L'Amour. I could tell the tree was getting weaker and weaker, so cut it up into cuttings. I checked those cuttings a couple day's ago and they had just gone limp and molded. This was using your bag
method. I think the tree was just too weak by the time I took the cuttings.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

L'Amour is a tough one to root most say. Last year it took me a few goes to root 4. This year I have rooted some with no trouble.

Look at this cutie. The bud was so tiny when i cut it off last month that I didn't even see it. And it has flowered under the lights. A really adorable little bloom.

I had no problem early in the year rooting L'Amour but just lost 5 in the last week. Hmmmm So much so sharing. They had tiny green growth then just up and died. I wonder if temp going down to 46 for a night had anything to do with it??

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Awe, Kell. That is so cute. I wish some would stay that size. I like having little ones with flowers. By the way, I didn't even notice all the Creamsickle buds until you saw them. This one is a really good bloomer. I get mites too, but I spray with Avid and use Bayer granules.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

The pictures are great Kell!! I really envy your zone.

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 6b)

Here is my first true dropped skirt of any Brug. CDW!
