Someone may have already mentioned this, but if they haven't and you have ant problems with your hummingbird feeders, I have used the following ant guards for three years, and you will have absolutely no ants if you use it, and it can only effect ants-other insects, birds, etc are perfectly safe. It is called Ant Guard with Permethrin by Perky Pet. It is item number PP242 at The Bird Shed website. They are on sale for $6.31 today. They are only supposed to last one season, but my mother has successfully used one for two years. If you're lucky, you can find it at upscale garden places, but it is easier to order it on line. lol Hope this helps someone-I HATE ANTS IN THE FEEDERS!!!!!
