Hello Oconus!

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

Hi Oconus.....welcome to the garden! A big wave is coming your way from the windy city (today winds are at 80 km per hour). Can hardly wait to find out what you have growing in your pond(s).

Hi Oconus, welcome from Deep Cove.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

Hi oconus - welcome from the only city crazy enough to be having a cattle drive in downtown as I write

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

A cattle drive, Lynn? Cool! Where & why?

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

To celebrate the upcoming CFR (canadian finals rodeo) and it is going from 109st to winston churchill square via 102 ave.

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Oh that's so cool! Good for them. I love the CFR, just cause it's fun checking out all the different breeds of cows at the Farm Fair. There are some really interesting ones. I'm going to try & find some news from Edmonton on TV tonight; hopefully they'll show the cattle drive - how could they not? Gotta love satellite TV for time-shifting!

See what kind of bunch you've stumbled upon, oconus? :-)

Castlegar, BC(Zone 6b)

Too funny, Lynn. But not surprising. I spent many hours at the SportEx during the Farm Fair, that runs in conjunction to the Rodeo, when my daughter was in 4H. Come to think of it, haven't worn the "ole cawboy boots" since then. LOL Good memories.

(Zone 6b)

jagonjune, thank you for the welcome.
I can understand a Cattle Drive happening in Edmonton anytime, I was out there a couple of times around Klondyke Days and had a great time, lovely city.
Oconus.

Lynn, the cattle drive made the front page of the Vancouver Sun. It looked tres cool!
Talking about cool, I heard on the radio today that you might be getting snow.

Edmonton, AB(Zone 3a)

Might be??? It looks like January and I have all my pots still out in the yard. Will post some pics tomorrow so you can better appreciate lotus land.
