Hi Folks,
Altho I was spared a direct hit from all 3 hurricanes, I am still cleaning up the yard. It is so disheartening to have to throw away plants that you spent years on and start over. Part of my morning ritual was to check on my exotic fruit tree seedlings and see what new kind of banana sprouted a youngin'. I brought everything I could inside but still lost at least 30% of my seedlings from the drastic temp change. (AC). The banana trees were tore up but salvagable. The citrus fruit blew away and my herb garden got squished. And that's my good plants. I am still working on the hedge that was torn up and hibiscus that was twisted and ripped up. Like I said- it just breaks my heart to work in the yard.
I am writing this in honour of the folks that got hit bad and maybe we can all say a prayer for them- This will take years for them to recover. Think how they must feel- the ones that still have homes to live in, having to work in their yard.
hurricane depression
I'll pray that everyone recovers quickly from this hurricane season. I must be devastating to start over again.
It is so sad. I can't imagine having to go through what all of you are dealing with.
May the good Lord give you all a peace over loss and the drive to re-gain the joy you once had from working in your garden.
