This is a Susie seedling.
Susie Aurea X ?
Wow ada, that is a great looking bloom. You always have good luck don't you :)
Ada ... is that kind of an orangish color??
Yes, Waterloo lily. It's beautiful I think.
Jeremaih, after the year I've had with rains, winds etc. I need some good luck. LOL
Had to check and make sure I wasn't seeing things on my monitor!! With that shape and not pink ... it is pretty!
Thanks.
Ada, it sure is a pretty one. It makes you wonder how dark it would be if it were warm weather. Lovely shape and wonderful tendrils. I am glad that you finally had some good luck.
Very pretty Ada. I'm sure glad you are having some good luck now. It's really nice to see some brugs that aren't pink. LOL!
Thanks Frannie and Shirley. They want to bloom now that's it time to take them in for the winter.LOL
Such a pretty color. Does she hold herself pendant or horizontal?
Very beautiful color.
Wow Ada that's a beauty. Unusual orange color; almost bronze looking. Can't wait to see her next spring/summer
Ada that is really pretty.
Very pretty ada.
Very nice!! It's not a white one!! LOL
Congratulations to you & Susie on another beautiful bloom!
Thanks all. Kyle, I'd send you a cutting but I'm afraid it would turn white when you touch it. LOL Just kidding.
A very Very Pretty blossom, Ada. I am so happy for you.
Ada -- that's so pretty! Love the color and shape of this one :)
Thanks, Renee and Gretchen but Susie deserves the applause for this one. I only grew it out. She made some great crosses.
It is very pretty Ada. The color looks peach to me.
It's a curse with me......LOL Just like being overly handsome!Thats a curse with me too!!! LMAO :-)
Kyle, that's not a curse. We all know you're handsome.
Ada, it's very pretty. I love the color.
gorgeous! love the colors!
Its beautiful Ada! Im sure glad to see you posting some pictures after your rainy year!
Thanks Calla, Karrie and Shelley. It's a keeper.
I just found this thread, sometimes I miss some good stuff and I'm so glad I tuned in to see this beauty, the color is sooooo different, is it orange?? I have seen a color to that but it wasn't a brug blossom, it was painted on a wall, in Dallas TX, and I never could duplicate it. It surely is pretty, Ada!!!
Thanks, Sherry. I want to see it's color next Spring to see if it gets darker.
That is just gorgeous, Ada -- what a nice treat for you after such a yucky summer... I love the two-tone effect!
Thanks, Gretchen. It's definately a keeper.
Ada, I agree with Gretchen, it's a beauty, especially with such a difficult and unusual growing season. Today, I had, yet another, 9 inches of rain, with wind and hail. I did have a bug problem, but not nearly as bad as it looks now, following the bb sized hail, I have small limbs, acorns, pine straw, etc, lodged in leaves, as well as hail holes and shredded leaves. Tell me, do bugs/pests ever eat buds/blossoms??? That has never happened here, so far, but, at this point, I'm attempting to keep my eyes open and, hopefully, head off such a problem...
Very pretty Ada. I also like the two toned affect.
Sherry, we have cucumber beetles in our area and they eat holes in the blooms, some even before they are open. Not a pretty sight. You sure have had a lot of rain. We got some good rain yesterday. Enough that I can't get the garden plowed now, but we needed it.
OOPS....I meant to say that a product called Talstar worked great on the cucumber beetles.

STRANGE year, weather wise, here, Brugie. We had heavy, frequent rains from late winter, until about the 3rd week in Aug, and there was a drought until several days ago when we got wind and 9 inches of good, slow rain that we badly needed, and today, another 8+ inches, in short order, man, it was strong, heavy and fast, with bb sized hail. First hail that I remember in MANY years. Oddly enough, we needed the rain because, after the 9 inches last week, it was followed by a wind storm that drew all the moisture outta the plants, two days after the rain, and at least 1/2 of the brugs wilted. Not a hot summer, melting wilt, but a droopy wilt, which I mistook for wind damage. Odd, huh?? Oh, well, I've learned lots this growing season...
Sherry, sounds like your year has been like mine. I sure hope next year is better.
Ada, it looks just great. I bet it does get darker next summer!
very beautiful Ada. Congrats. The world best insecicide is to have lots of birdfeeders and house in your yard to make them stay and feed on all your bugs. I had zero cats this year except on my Milkweed and Passi's where they are supposed to be. Well one tiny green that I am aware of and it got shipped to CA so I was told ROFL .
Donna , Sounds like we think alike in our defensive gardening style. Sure works for me up here too .
;-D
