Wow I didn't realize that pentas grew that big. The year I tried them they were tiny little things. Of course I was really late starting them, but they would never get very big here in zone 2 unless I tried them in pots & hauled them in & out. Great shot CaptMicha.

Yeah, same in zone 7. They're just another thing I have to over winter indoors, but this year I was smart, I cut down alot of plants so they're not quite as big and there won't be leaves all over the place.

Did you grow from seed? This plant was bought from a nursery, probably Johnsons, my neighbors like that place.

this is very beautiful.....love the bold color...I don't have a lot of red around except in the spring lots red tulips....I am looking into this and thank you ...lovely photograph dee
