My friend had a couple of cats dumped at the rest area across the highway from her house, and the sisters proved to be silver tabby calicos. The prettiest one had some kittens back in April, and I got to claim the only silver in the bunch. I noticed one day when visiting that the mother had an extra toe on her back foot. I checked her kitties, and three of the five had extra toes on their front feet, with two of them having a toe on the back feet dangling from a tiny skin tag. We snipped the extra toes off (hardly any blood involved), so the back feet looked normal otherwise. I named my kitty Mia, and she thinks I'm the only human worthy of her attention (unless I'm not available, and then she *might* lay on someone else). She's my absolute baby. See her "thumb"?
