Looking for cold hardier Maypop

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

I'm looking for maypop (passiflora incarnata) that's from a colder zone, like around Virginia, Md, NY area. I know this sounds weird but my maypop has never come back and I read that I should find a hardier strain. I have some perennials that can be divided in trade in addition to what's on my trade list.

Since I'm on the subject, does anybody know what animal or bug would have dug up or eaten my p. incarnata vines? There's just holes where they used to be, the entire plants and roots are missing! Caterpillars don't go underground, do they?

Hi Cap'n,
I have incarnata seeds if you can't find the plant. LMK
