Anything Edible Swap

Welches, OR(Zone 6b)

I hosted this last Fall and it was a huge success for everyone!
--Send me up to 25 different types of seeds for edible plants (veggies, herbs, edible flowers, fruits, etc). If you are not sure it is edible, do not send it! I will send you back different varities for your garden.
--Please include a return padded mailer (I am happy to reuse the one you send your seeds in if it is good shape) And postage for the flight back to you!
--Add in a wishlist! I will honor it as much as I can. Last year I was able to match up at least one for everyone and many for most.
--Deadline to send them is October 31st!
--Contact me at debaccuardi@gmail.com for my address or with any questions.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm new at this - how many seeds per type?

Welches, OR(Zone 6b)

Usually 25 seeds are a good idea. That way the person is garaunteed to have some germinate. If it is something special that you only have a few of I'm sure people would understand.

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

OK - sounds like fun...count me in! (I'll be dropping you a note via the above e-address.)

It just occurred to me - shouldn't we be sending you some money towards postage, too? Looks to me that you are taking on not only the workload, but also an additional expense! Not fair...

Welches, OR(Zone 6b)

Postage is requested in the original message:) Thank you for bringing it up though. It does get a little spendy because there are always a few that forget.

Siloam Springs, AR

man! how sad! i don't have 25 eatible plants. i don't have 2 :(
i better get busy huh?
i'm falling behind.....

Carmel, NY(Zone 6b)

How embarrassing - I totally missed that - duh! Well, maybe this will save someone else from embarrassing themselves! lol

Welches, OR(Zone 6b)

Oh, you don't have to send 25 plants. If you have 25 seeds for each variety it works well for germination. If you have 1 item you want to swap join in:) I know there will be extras too!

And you shouldn't feel embarrassed Sequee! I have already received a package with no postage. I always expect a few. It's nice that you brought it up,

OOh, this sounds great, count me in.

hello debbie, sent my seeds yesterday. Didnt include alot as I am involved in a end stage hospice situation but wanted to participate.... thanks for hosting this fun swap.

Welches, OR(Zone 6b)

I'm glad you did Sheran. You were in last time too so it is a nice tradition:) I'm sorry for your situation however. I am helping my mother through her loss of a husband. Hospice was such a great help to her during his illness!!

Just wanted to update! There are a few people that will not be able to get their seeds here by Sat. So the deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 2nd! I will go through them and get them repackaged and back in the mail by Friday, Nov. 5th!
There is a lot of variety so far! I think everyone will be very happy with their seeds!

Sheran-I have received yours and I have two different Sweet Peas to add to your package.

oh thanks deb........

All the seeds have been swapped around and are going out tomarrow. There is someone that I am sending Burdock to. Could you remind me who you are. I should have put the seeds right in your mailer, but didn't. Silly, silly, silly!
