I am new to Brugs and I only have one. When it bloomed the first time in the early summer there were nine blooms on it, and they were all split. It is blooming again and I have one that is split. I bought it from Parks, and it is called Halo Peach. Is it something I am doing or not doing or maybe because we had such a hot dry summer?
What causes this?
That is such a pretty one. Have no idea why it splits, as I have never seen this happen before, might be weather related?
I haven't either. Is it like this as it comes out of the calyx?
I'm counting more than five tendrils on the second bloom, could this be the reason??
Wow!! It is surely worth finding out because it is really pretty. Since it has more than usual tendrils, could it be that there just wasn't enough bloom to go with them???
Pretty bloom. I had one called Star Dancer that is supposed to do the split thing, but it didn't. I wonder if it is the weather. Our summer was really cool. Of course, that doesn't explain why yours did split and shouldn't have. LOL! Welcome to the brug forum and Daves Garden. It's always fun to meet new members. Hope to see you here often.
WOW!!!! I love the combination of the pink and white together! Very very pretty! :-)
Thanks to all of you. I did not know that there were supposed to be a certain amout of tendrils. I went out and checked the ones on the ground, and they also have six tendrils. I have a lot to learn about these things. That is probably the reason for the splits. Some were split all the way, some were split in a couple of places. The other buds are not large yet, but I will check them when they bloom.
