Hi all, I am new to the forum and new to working in the yard. We just landscaped our backyard. I planted some flats of reiters creeping thyme. I live in Northern Ca, SF area. It is getting to be fall now. I am not sure how much to water the seedlings and how often? I was told by the nursery to plant 18 inches apart so right now things look pretty bare. Should I plant more or will it fill in? How much and how frequent on the watering? What about seeds in case some of them do not take. Thanks in advance. Regina

Welcome to DG
I'm sure someone from a similar region to you will come along and give you a fuller answer. How long has the lawn been planted? If the weather is fairly dry at the moment and they've been in the ground for a month or so, I'd stick my finger in the soil to see if there is any moisture there, if not I'd give them a good water.
Thank you. It has been planted about two weeks. We do have regular grass in other parts of the yard, so it is getting hit by the sprinklers daily.
