I am the hybridizer of Twilight's Last Gleaming. The two different pictures you see look like two different iris, but one was taken in my garden under natural light and the other was taken after the iris was cut and entered in a bench show. I sent rhizomes to a number of people in different parts of the country to see how it would grow. Everyone reported that it did well. It has been sent to Texas, California, Michigan, Oregon and Minnesota.

It has strong stalks, beautiful lacing and ruffling and I am very proud of it. Yes, I am a backyard hybridizer and would not introduce anything that wasn't new and different. If you are familiar with the older iris, Sheer Poetry, it is somewhat similar in color however it is ruffled and laced.

If you will be attending the AIS Convention in St. Louis, Missouri next year, it is growing at Shaw Gardens and at one private garden as a guest iris. Thanks so much to Dave's Garden for listing Twilight's Last Gleaming for me.

What a beautiful job. You should be proud of it. The Iris Farm has it on sale if anyone is interested in having this really lovely Iris in their own backyard. (I am not affiliated with TIF - but their picture was not great so I came here). Thanks so much for posting the photo so I could get a better look at it. I use the DG photos constantly and I am grateful for all the work everyone does.
