Happy Halloween!

Medford, NJ(Zone 6b)

Does this mean I don't have to decorate this year? LOL Some of the many sheets I threw over plants last night. There doesn't see to be any frost damage. I sneaked by this time. Once hubby gets home from Germany this weekend I'll have him move them all in for me.

Looks just like our whole neighborhood, everyone covered plants, as it was way too soon for frost. I have a big tarp over patio, all brugs, hibiscus and Passion Flowers underneath and on picnic table.

Did I ever overdo it! Where am I gonna put all these plants inside? Need a bigger house.

Happy Halloween to you too.

LOL! I pig-piled all my brugs into one pile. It looks like it's a good thing I did. Everything is frosty out there now.

I'm so glad I'm not alone! The guys painting my house think I'm a little off balanced. They don't say so, they just have that look in their eyes. LOL.... Pig piled- too funny Sue.

Sue, that looks like one of my jobs last Spring when we got a late frost and I had moved and repotted to bigger pots that wouldn't all fit back into the greenhouse. LOL I was working like a fiend trying to get everything under cover.

Datdog, you still have a pretty place even with all the plant covers. I wouldn't care what the painters thought. LOL

I will check my 'ghosts' soon to see if my raspberries survived. I had such a heavy cropset coming on ;'(

Hey - that looks like my house too~~~ I even used clothes pins to hold all the sheets on! The tops of several got nipped even tho they were covered. I took cuttings - just in case. Now I will have even more for next summer!!! LOL

Is there a reason to overwinter the whole plant instead of cuttings? I am seriously almost out of room.

I just hate this time of year even though I won't get frost for another 2 or 3 months. Everything just goes into slow mode! I am so glad you escaped the frost Kristi. And I sure hope you did also Sue. And Scoot, share those berries! YUM YUM

I will have to go out and buy some clothes pins. Great idea Sarv!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Boy, I wouldn't be looking forward to doing the laundry next time. That's a lot of stuff out there. LOL!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

Datdog, just throw a few pumpkins in among the pots, and you are all set for Halloween.

Yep. But when it comes to saving our babies for a few more days, everything in the linen closet is subject for use......and if that's not enough, we start looking at the extra beds..........

When there is a late spring frost, we wet the fruit trees with water, since they are too tall to cover. Would that possibly work with brugs??? Somehow, I'm thinking the answer will be NO...

Yayyy ! We (still) have raspberries.

These little red nuggets are like gold.

Up here a 1/2 pint container can cost around 4$ or more. Shoot .......... thats only a few bites.
