John - beautiful! Do you have a wide selection of Hemerocallis there in Belgium? Are there a lot of hybridizers in Europe or is the US your primary supply choice? You really must come visit us in the Daylily Forum.

Eleonore and Garden Star under the Seedling section of the Eurocallis link are fabulous. I'll bet we won't be able to get those here in the US when they are introduced.

Will look at the other sites later at leisure. Many thanks for the links, John.

Dear Brenda

The website you visited in from Francois Verhaert, there is allso a daylily called to his name aswell his wifes name Martina Verhaert, his son Jordan Verhaert. All by US. hydridizers. I'll be sure that be availble in the states in the next years. You can send him a email he will be honored to reply.

Actually both Francois Verhaert and Martina Verhaert are currently very sought after here in the US. Very popular right now.

Is he the one that hybridized Spits Bride?

Moerkerke_Damme, Belgium(Zone 7b)

I not 100% sure but for 99% yes, that it is a unregistered seedling of him and bought by Wim Willemsen from http://www.hemerocallis.nl/Spits-collectie/de%20collectie.htm
I have it not in my garden, but i will next season. The picture was made at a daylily auction of the european hemerocallis society this season.
Spits Bride has thick petals and sepals and hard as a rock.
