Hidden Proxy server?

I've been getting all kinds of bounced e-mails returned that I did not send, and netscape sent me a message that they detected a large amount of spam being sent from my account. They said I might have a hidden proxy server running. Where did I get this and how can I get rid of it??? I've ran Norton and there are no virus's also all my updates are current. Any suggestions?
