Brug seeds for SASE

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Last time I posted a give-away of brug seeds, Another member advised me not to share un-named seeds, as it allowed "junk" brugs to be grown and shared, and possibly sold as something they are not. Well phooey on that. We all have to start somewhere, right?

These are seeds from one of my Goldtraum X Pink Beauty Seedlings X an unknown pollen donor, courtesy of my resident bees. I had a number of brugs blooming at once, so it could be anything. The flowers of this seedling were white, but it will be a surprise to see what these produce. They are viable, as I have one seedling started out of the pod.

I have four packets of 15 seeds each for SASE.

The first 4 DG members to post here can have them. After you post I'll privately e-mail you my addy.

You just never listen do you Gretchen!!! Only kidding It's sweet of you to offer this. Any brug from seed, even one from named parents can look like a dud! You just never know what your going to get. That to me is the fun of growing these plants from seed. ; )

I think its great Gretchen! Ive heard Creamsickle, and (?) NH Double peach (I think) are of unknown crosses. You go girl!!! You are offering a chance for a person to grow something that no one else has. Again, I say, I think its great!

Am I #4??? Didn't seem 2 were asking, just commenting. If I'm correct, please put me on the list.

Either way, thanks so much.

Gumlla -- you were already on my list to send these to, since you didn't get in on the give-away that was cancelled.

Eileen -- you are in, I'll send you an e-mail with my address.

Kristi -- my sentiments exactly. Thank you!

Thank you too, Shelly and Gloria!

Judy -- got you too :)

I still have two offerings...

Gretchen - am I too late?

Sue

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Sue -- for these seeds, yes. I'm sorry, but I counted today 20+ pods on assorted brugs, mostly Isabellas (she's such a hussy, LOL). And provided they ripen before our first Frost (about 6 weeks from now), I should have plenty to share. I'll post another offer then. Okay? Gretchen

Thanks Gretchen.

If you do have more available seeds, please keep me in mind. Will they grow in my zone?

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Hi 2pugdogs -- welcome to the brug forum! You will need to grow them in pots. I doubt that they would successfully overwinter outdoors, in your zone.

I will start another thread when I have seeds available again :)

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

well i never want to be late but seems on here i'm always late too late.. its very nice you are to.. everyone that wants a brug so bad gets a chance...

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Twyla -- I'm so sorry... the seeds I promised you (Isabella X Unknown) aren't ripe yet. I haven't forgotten about you :) You are on the top of my list for those, and as soon as they ripen, I'll let you know. Okay? Gretchen

Gumlla -- yours went out yesterday.

Eileen and Kareoke -- received your envelopes today. They will go out tomorrow.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Kaufman thanks I sent you email, got them today, should I soak these for 24 hrs befor planting and puting in mini greenhouse?

(Nadine) Devers, TX(Zone 9b)

Kell, Did ya get my SASE from me yet? Remember I was the one who ya forgot to send the rest of your address to? ...lol..just was wondering if mine got there yet...Nadine

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Kareoke -- so glad you received your seeds. Yes, I would soak them for 24 hours in plain water. After soaking, peel them, and give them a dip (up to ten minutes) in a 10% chlorox solution. Then you can press them into (but don't cover them) your sterile growing medium. I planted the 40 seeds that I was going to give away and didn't, as stated in the first post (couldn't bring myself to toss them). They were a little older than the ones you have, and I was too lazy peel them. Most all have sprouted... Food for thought.

Nadine -- you posted on the wrong thread. I think Kell is still working on getting her seeds out, but you might want to post on her seed giveaway thread :) Good luck!
