Cindy, very nice plant, good growing. Norma
Nice looking serpens, now i want one again.....maybe blooms are on the horizon for you! good luck with it.....
Sandy
How did you grow it outside? What kind of conditions? Great job...it obviously loves you.
i dont have enuff time to spoil my plants at all...they get a few waterings from me, then what mother nature gives them.....most of my things were in part shade, that was until my walnut trees decided this was their year to go dormant and lost their leaves really early
we had an abosolutly great summer, just a few hot hot days...so i didnt have much that got burnt
i think having them in my greenhouse last winter gave them a good start for being taken outside this past spring
other than that, i dont do anything special......oh but this year i did clean them really good before putting them back in the greenhouse and made sure everyone had all their dead leaves taken off and so on...lol
thanks for the nice comments
cindy
Thanks for sharing, Cindy. It's really an inspiration to me. I got one in really soggy, heavy soil that didn't dry out, but I knew that it likes to be kept moist, so I didn't repot it. Of course it died. What do you have yours potted in?
The flowers sound so nice, think I'll try it again with your advice.
the serpens is in a really small pot..like maybe a 2 inch pot if that....all of my plants are in pro mix....i use the hp pro mix for cacti......or just add some grit to the regular pro mix....i got away from miracle grow and such and went directly to the local greenhouses....some ppl dont like the pro mix cuz it will get rock hard and its hard to moisten it again...but i either over water or under water(im gettin better though..lol)....so try a few different things...i do know they need to be well drained thats for sure....and also if you can collect rain water, it will do wonders all by itself

Cindy, rain what is that? LOL We are supposed to have our first rain this coming week end. I've taken to bottling facucet water, and letting it stand for several days before I use it. I think misting works the best for me.
I have a very large pot of H. serpens, good light good fertilizer, no flowers. Perhaps the fertilizer is making it grow to much to fast, but I doubt it, formula 0-10-10 Perhaps it even needs more light. I'll try that. Norma
Beautiful plant! You have got the touch!
