Norfolk Island Pine
Another beautiful plant.
What a lovely tree. How large will it get indoors before it outgrows the house?
Our ceilings are 25 feet high...so I guess it could get that high. I have room for it to get maybe 12 feet high or so...as the branches will spread out alot at that height.
It's almost 2 years old from the time I purchased it at Wal-Mart during the Christmas season. I have tried to grow these in the past and have not had good luck...maybe because of the lighting. Where we now live it gets good East and South sunlight...so hopefully it will continue to do well and bless us with wonderful greenry.
Sure looks like you're treating it right! Mine is in a north window - its much older than yours, but was a seedling when I got it. One thing I tried with it that it appears to like is, when it loses lower branches, I use them as a mulch in the pot. It either helps with the acidity/alkalinity of the earth or helps keep moisture in; maybe both. Either way, its way happier now than before I tried this. If you do start losing a lot of the lower branches, you might try this.
