Looking for a Samoyed puppy or younger adult

Okay, our family has come full circle. In 22 years, we've had two Sammys (one died of heat stroke at age 9, one of leukemia at age 8), a blue heeler (placed him with some friends after he bit DD), and two shelter-rescue lab mixed-breeds we had for 2 1/2 years. (It's a long story; suffice it to say we no longer have them and a neighbor and I don't speak any more.)

After a dog-less, soul-searching year, we're back to really wanting another Samoyed. Anyone know of any rescued younger Samoyeds or a private breeder that isn't wanting $500 for their pups? We are looking for a pure-bred pet quality, preferably male dog, fairly young (1 year or younger), and we're prepared to keep it as an indoor, beloved family pet (no cats or other pets.)

If you have any leads on one that is $200 or less, please let me know. I've been in touch with the NC and GA rescue groups (the closest ones to us), and keep searching the online and newspaper classifieds, but nearly every time one comes up, it's a show-quality dog for $500 and up, which is simply out of our price range. No Spitz, no American Eskimos please...(I know they look kinda the same, but they're not what we're wanting to adopt ;o)
