I think me and the hubby were just so excited that we got to eat the fruits of our labor for the first time (we've grown a pretty good garden this year), that we got a little carried away and kept way too many seeds. Being the seed hoarder that I am, I cannot just THROW away seeds, so I would like to trade for some other watermelon varieties. I'd really like to find the giant gray one, some Black Diamond, and some Crimson Sweet, among other heirlooms and tasty ones.
These didn't get real big, about refrigerator sized (I guesstimate about 20 lbs.), and have a nice firm flesh with a moderately sweet taste. They taste best when refrigerated. I have no idea what variety they are.
Have: LOTS of Yellow Watermelon Seeds
Hi! I have some Black Diamond seeds I could trade you - but I don't have room to grow any other water melons - could you trade any pink moonvine seeds?
Let me know -
Onalee
I just got some pink moonvine seeds from you...Do you mean the lavender one I grew a few years back?
I saw this picture you had posted:

They looked different from the ones that I have . .. Do you still have any of them?
If not, maybe some morning glory seeds - Chocolate or Mt. Fuji would be great!
Thanks,
Onalee
I hope what I sent you for moonvines was the one you were looking for - now that we've had this exchange . ..
Here's a picture of what mine look like.
I'm sorry if they aren't the ones you were wanting! If they aren't , then I'll just send you some black diamond watermelon and don't worry about any trade.

I don't have the ones you sent me...they're different. I don't have any seeds to share of the other one I posted, but I'll keep you first in mind when I plant them in the spring. They make a big tuber, so they're perennial. I was a dope and managed to kill my other one. :-(
Well, I'll be happy to send you some of these black diamond seeds. They were very tasty this last summer!
I have a few congo too - would you like any of those?
Onalee
Sounds good! Are there any other seeds in particular that you're looking for? I have a bunch not listed...
I grew some chocolate morning glories this year and my husband really liked them, but they didn't do too well where I planted them, so I didn't get many seeds for next year. Do you have any of those you could send? Apart from that, anything that will grow in full sun and is pretty, is easy to harvest seeds from and is low maintence (isn't that what we all want?) would be great!
I got the cassia seeds today - thanks! Can't wait to see how they come out next year!
Thanks,
Onalee
