That second one looks like a giant size of my Xanthosoma!
gumlla, yours is xanthosoma sagittaefolium........I have it here..it gets really huge..we had it at work and the leaves would get up to 6 feet long.

Just tell her you tried a new fertilizer and "Wa La!", it grew overnight. My DH is already asking, "where you gonna put that?". He said he'd build me a sunroom someday, I hope he hurries ;)

root-that is a beauty. Your plants obviously like what you are feeding them. Haven't posted in a while because of family emergency. I am in FL with my daughter. Get to look at all these lovely plants and no time to shop for any.
RootDoctor, this is truly a beautiful plant. Do you have a green house that you put all your beautiful plants in durning the winter. I suggested to my DH last week I would like to have one, and I really think it went in one ear and straight out the other. I love plants especially the Hibiscus.

I really hope what I bought turns out to be like yours. I maybe getting in some trouble of my own. I still many plants in the garage and haven't found their place inside yet.

I just bought a xanthosoma sagittifolium from ebay. Should get it next week, can't wait. It is suppose to be 3 ft. tall. I will keep everyone informed on how it is doing. Is there anything I need to know about this plant before I get it. I sure don't want to kill it. I need all the helpful hints I can get. Thanks to RootDoctor he got me interested in this plant, by seeing his beautiul plant posted.
Now you know who to blame when your collection gets out of hand like mine!LOL!
