Just an update for all who helped me -while I was so happy receiving them - I was in panic for the cuttings were drooping. Well, my babies have since the following day sparked up by plastic bag method- and now after 5 days, I have showing all threw the stem that it appears to want to make roots..........So, I think we're on a roll now!
My seeds, they are in soil and plastic bag on the fridge-so we'll just keep our fingers crossed.
Thanks Again for all your help, and my brug sender.
Blessings, Ingrid
After ALL the excitement of my 1st cuttings/seeds

It's good to hear you are having good luck. I hope your seeds grow well for you. Isn't this fun? LOL!
Thanks both of you.
Gumlla, Yours will be doing well from the seeds as well.

Good luck with your seeds. They will be popping their little heads before you know it.
Thanks, BurgNanny- I really hope so and no-one where I live have these. So, it will be a delight to share with everyone, and anyone on DG. Planning on a plantation of these.HEHE
Best regards, Ingrid
Which cross seeds did you get Ingrid? You'll like growing from seed, you never quite know what you're going to get.
Hi Liz, the cuttings I received were:
-Frosty pink
-Charels Grimaldi
-Valley Sunshine
-Sanveolens Pink & The seeds were Common dbl whiteXFrosty Pink
They all have white poka dots all up the stem on them. How long of roots do I need before I plant them?
I just received yesterday-seeds:
Rosamond X Rosabelle
Mix Brugs - a surpise till I grow them - which was nice.
If you ever needs seeds from these let me know, I'am planning of having seed pods galour....LOL
Best Wishes, Ingrid
You're going to have a fun winter Ingrid.
Are they in water in the plastic bags? I just wait till the stem gets those white little knubbies or most times I just put the cuttings in dirt and skip the water altoghether.
If they wilt very badly after you pot them up, you can put them back in closed plastic bags, dirt and all. I just wet the inside of the bag and drain it well. Remember, even if they droop, do not water the soil again until the soil is on the dry side. More cuttings rot from overwatering! You can mist them though.
Are your seeds on top of the refrig for the warmth? I found that the seeds respond to light more than warmth. Before I had my seed rack I would put them on the window sills and they did great. The seeds like light, so do not bury them. Some are very aggressive, and will come up anywhere though. Others can be stubborn. GOOD LUCK!
Kell, they are just in water with plastic. I will plant them and place them as you say with plastic on the window . Thanks, for all your help.!
Best regards, Ingrid
Oh Ingrid, I was talking about your seeds on the window sill. I would not put your cuttings in plastic in sun. I t may stress them too much without roots. Also remember, if it is too hot in the sun on the windowsill, they can steam cook in the plastic bags. Do not put them in direct sunlight.
The cuttings probably would do great now outside of the bag. The seeds need the bag until they pop up.
Sounds good Kell, will do that. Thanks, again
Ingrid
Kell, I got some cuttings from RootDoctor.... I put them in water and they are starting to get little white bumps.... should I move them to a plastic bag and some dirt for awhile and then move them into a pot...... How big should the white bumps be before you move them out of water ...... ?
Thanks
You only need to use the plastic bag if they are excessively wilted or very hard to root. Brugs root very easily usually. Only a few are tough. I did use bags last summer alot for they were easier for me. I bagged them and forgot them. But you can skip the bag if you want to.
These 2 cuttings are ready to be planted before they brug gets water roots. And if I would send them to Susie, they would be! LOL I just noticed that there are buds that are growing.
I just reread your question VS. I would put them directly into a pot they will stay into until they the roots fill it. You do not need a plastic bag unless you have a specific reason for it. IE: you are going out of town, they wilt too easily, they are hard to root, etc.
Here are mostly L'As I am rooting up. I put them in a fast draining soil in the red cups you buy at Costco. I find they are the best pots for seedlings and cuttings. And they are so cheap and you can mark what brug is in it in magic marker on the outside. . You use and you toss. They are nice and deep for the brugs to put down their long roots.
I just stick a sharp knife down and make holes in the bottom. I then put them right under my lights on my seed rack. Next month these will be moved to my window sills for the seed rack will be full of germinating seeds I hope!
This is all interesting, the knowledge you all have-wonderful!
Paridise, Kell is right about the seeds needing light so just lightly press them into moistened potting soil and put the whole thing in a sealed bag. In bright light. Don't worry if the inside of the bags drips, you're creating a mini rain forest.
Thanks, Liz! i greatly appreciate all the advice.
