seed cups

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

Just thought I would pass this along, I found it very usefull, if you use the little creamers for your tea or coffee, save the little cup, they are perfect for putting in one cube of rockwool (or other medium) if you only want to do a few seeds at a time.

I would have never thought of that. Great idea! Do they stand up on their own? LOL Half the time I cant even get them to stand up straight when the cream is still in them.

yes they do, it works great with just one seed in each, I have even used them with dirt.

I bet they look so cute in them!

yes kell they do, and you can tuck them in anywhere you have a little space

Oh WOW what a great idea...

Well, rockwool isn' t me LOL ... but I take your advice of germinating in small cups next time it has to be. Usually I would use a mini GH with many small cells, but as I am the type, that always check on progresses under the soil line different crosses get mixed up easily :) With cups I can still take a sneak-peak without any getting mixed up LOL LOL

I am a happy cat now :D

Tonny -- too bad you don't like rockwool -- you can easily see all the progress as its happening, without disturbing seeds or roots. I love rockwool... Gretchen

i found that the plastic containers used to sell mini cupcakes are perfect for jiffy peat pellets because the width of each cupcake is the same as the pellet..

I too like the rockwool so I can peek, and in indevidual cups you never disturb the rest, but I also have used potting soil in the cups, works just as well
